A drug-trafficking ring that moved material from Bolivia to Brazil was broken up by Brazilian forces, effectively disrupting the supply for a major drug traffic route. Reportedly 200 Federal police agents were involved in the execution of 52 arrest warrants with 38 successful arrests. The raids resulted in 10 seizures of approximately 560 kilos of cocaine. This signifies the execution of a major year-long operation that reclaims some of the trafficking routes normally controlled by Brazilian prison gangs. (April 19, 2013 IC)
