Bolivia has announced that they will be going ahead with their lawsuit against Chile to reclaim their lost coastline. After a 1904 war between the two countries Bolivia lost all access to the sea – an issue that remains contentious between both nations. Bolivian President Evo Morales plans to take his case to the International Court of Justice later this year in an attempt to either redraw borders or gain access to the sea. Chilean officials have stated that they will not be entertaining the idea or maintain any dialogue regarding the subject (April 24, 2013 BBC)
